"The Rise of the Jonah Generation" Adam F. Thompson, Adelaide, South Australia - The Elijah List

God is Calling Back the Jonahs!
In reading this prophetic word we must not perceive things the way they are in the natural. This is important because the Body of Christ is entering a time of transition and God is about to raise up a new breed – a Jonah Generation.
Sometimes, the Western Church can look more like an institution; maintaining an appearance of having its act together when the reality is that many are backslidden in their hearts. Many others are caught up in a merry-go-round of being slaves to the system rather than being heirs of the Kingdom.
This Jonah Generation will rise from among those who once had a life-changing mandate from God – a word, a prophecy, an encounter – but who walked away from it because of the religiosity in the Church. These people have not necessarily hardened their hearts, or intentionally gone off the rails, but they (nevertheless) have walked away from their mandate and gone back to trading.
God is calling back these "Jonahs" who have walked away from their original calling and mandate and have instead gone into business. Don't misunderstand me, God will use business and finance for the Kingdom, but not if you're running from your true calling and mandate.
(Photo via Wikimedia)
This is precisely what Jonah did. He had a calling to declare the word of God to Nineveh, but in fear of its great wickedness he walked away from his mandate. He fled to Tarshish, an ancient city famous for its trading in silver and gold. This Old Testament story is very much a prophetic message for today.
On his way to Tarshish, Jonah was swallowed by a big fish, perhaps a whale, although the Bible doesn't use that name. In a dream, a big fish may be a metaphor for a Believer, but it is also a metaphor for revelation.
Throw Your Net on the Right Side
The disciples had a three-year encounter with Jesus, witnessed the resurrection, and had a clear mandate to "Go into all the world," but John 21 shows us that they didn't see that as a way of life.
When Peter announced he was going back to his fishing business, some of his fellow disciples went with him. A Man on the shore called out, "Have you caught anything?" When they told Him they'd caught nothing, the Man told them to throw their nets on the right side.
Isn't it interesting that none of them recognised this Man as Jesus?
Walking away from our mandate and going back to trading makes it easy to forget the Lord and become dull and numb to the revelation of Jesus Christ. When the Lord told the disciples to let down the net on the right side, the nets were completely filled but without breaking.
This is a metaphor for the new wineskin and the big catch is a metaphor for the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Photo via Wikimedia)
The disciples said, "It's the Lord!" and Peter immediately swam for the shore to be with Him. The disciples gathered around the fire that Jesus had made to cook the fish they caught, and they had communion with Him. They ate, they had revelation, and they were restored to their heavenly positions, especially Peter.

Jonahs Will Have the Revelation of Jesus Christ
When Jonah was swallowed by the big fish it was as though he was enveloped by the revelation of the heart of the Father. Remember, the fish took Jonah to the deep heart of the ocean. This is a picture mirrored in Psalm 42:7"Deep calls to deep." Jonah went to the deep heart of God, and following that revelation of who the eternal God is, the fish spewed Jonah onto the shore.
Whales are very sensitive to frequencies, which is why they are a metaphor for big prophetic ministries. A prophet must be sensitive. Jonah, as a prophet, was released from the whale into the natural realm as a sign and a wonder.
Jonah was spat out and released into the natural realm as one prepared to deal with the dark evil of Nineveh. But Jonah was a sign and a wonder, who walked into Nineveh, opened his mouth, and saw that whole atmosphere of darkness changed. He could do that because he was not a slave to the system anymore, but exercising spiritual dominion over it. The result was that Nineveh's leaders bowed the knee and repented.
In raising a Jonah Generation, God will restore people who have been perceived as "backslidden" because they don't attend church. This is not saying it's okay to avoid fellowship, but rather that they will come to the place of being enveloped in the revelation of Jesus Christ, the image of God.
(Photo via Pixabay)
They will have revelation of who they are and come into the intimacy that activates the Kingdom of God. They will be people who walk in signs and wonders that change the whole atmosphere of their environment. That's what being a revivalist looks like.
At the present time there's a lot of darkness covering the earth, but it's the dark before the dawn, and we need to see it with hope and excitement. This darkness is to inspire followers of Christ to rise up. For many, this will be Joel's "valley of decision" (Joel 3:14) to bring in the greatest harvest ever seen on planet Earth.
Just as the darkness of the holocaust preceded the re-birth of the nation of Israel, the darkness that is coming will be followed by the birthing of the billion soul harvest.
God is raising up a group of prophets like Jonah. Prophets who will change atmospheres and not be slaves to the world's systems. They are going to be heirs of the Kingdom, influencing leaders and nations.
We need to be encouraged and fasten our seat belts. Jesus Himself said in Luke 21:28"When you see these things happen, lift up your head, because your redemption is near." Psalm 24 tells us to "lift up your heads you gates and allow the King of Glory to come in." The new breed of the Jonah Generation are the gates. Who will let in the King of Glory?

Angelic Activity Rising in the Season - Lana Vawser

Angelic activity

Angelic activity is increasing in this season.

Angelic Activity Rising in the Season

There is huge angelic activity being seen in this season. Over the weekend and this week, I keep seeing angels holding "torches" of fire. They are standing waiting beside the people of God and as they worship and press in, these angelic hosts lean forward with their torches and they place these torches on the hearts, minds, eyes, mouths, feet, hands and ears of the people of God.
There is significant and sudden increase of His fire over the people of God, bringing sudden alignment in the spiritual "senses" of God's people.
As these angelic hosts bend down while you worship and press in, they are igniting your...
Hearts: They are burning away lies; they are igniting truth and setting fire to the seeds of the Word you are sowing into your heart releasing exploding revelation.
Minds: They are igniting deeper revelation of the truth that we have the mind of Christ and releasing divine heavenly wisdom and strategy. Racing thoughts and tormenting thoughts are being broken as the people of God align their minds with the Word.
Eyes: Sight-defying natural atmospheres. Sight to see into the unseen.
Mouths: Increase in declaring the Word and messages of His heart with greater boldness and conviction. There is a greater anointing on declaration for breakthrough. There are words flowing that break through impossibilities, opening up new levels of the supernatural.
Hands: There is an increase in the expression of giftings; new levels of release in the giftings of God in lives and greater conviction to pull down by faith what is ours in Christ against injustices and impossibilities. There is a new level of favor upon "what we put our hands to" as we are led by Him and we steward what has been before us. There are huge breakthroughs and increases in healing and those with healing anointings are moving into new levels of increase. There is greater increase in finances; an abundance to give and release more.
Feet: To go further than you have ever been before. There are new paths, new realms, new doors and new opportunities to take more ground, to see His Kingdom established through you further than ever before with signs and wonders following you. It's to see your feet move into the enemy's camp with greater victory and take back what He has stolen. It's to take the gospel further than you have before. There is greater ground being taken for the Lord.
Ears: To hear at a deeper level than you have heard before—distraction, static and noise being removed, which releases a greater clarity to hear what the Lord is saying and what He is doing in the Spirit. There are new levels of accuracy.
Greater encounters of His fire are being released upon you, releasing you suddenly into this new season through Rosh Hashanah. What has held you back in the past season is being suddenly burned away. He is coming as an all-consuming fire and bringing the deep level of refining and purifying to release you into the new.
These angelic hosts with their torches of fire are heralding and signaling your entrance into the new season, to go deeper than you have ever been. Further and wider than you have ever been before and to soar to heights and levels above and beyond what you have dreamed about.

Happy To Be God’s Treasure - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Happy To Be God’s Treasure
- Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” Deuteronomy 14:2 NKJV

“But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it will be evident that such overwhelming power comes from God and not from us. We have all kinds of troubles, but we are not crushed; we are perplexed, yet not in despair; persecuted, yet not abandoned; knocked down, yet not destroyed. We always carry in our bodies the dying of Yeshua, so that the life of Yeshua may be manifested in our bodies too.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 Complete Jewish Bible

A chosen people, called by God, to do His work – the One New Man, Jew and Gentile, saved and appointed together to be His feet and hands on this planet. That is who we are.

I like how Peter says it, being ones chosen by God as “God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others…from (being) rejected to accepted.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 in The Message version reads, “But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you - from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”

We are God’s treasure, chosen by Him.

But I don’t recall thinking of myself as His treasure.

I am very familiar with the verses that speak of Him being the treasure, the One that we are to go out and seek in the field, and the verses that tell of the Jews being His special treasure above all the peoples on earth, which now also includes those of us grafted in with them into the olive tree.

But to think of ourselves also as God’s treasure? Wow, that is really special!

Knowing the high value placed on treasure of any kind - be it gold, silver, jewels, or more importantly a dear friend, one who is very close to us – for us to be known as a treasure to the Lord gives us value beyond all of these in comparison to His love He has for us.

When you have treasure, you protect it, secure it, guard it from being harmed, lost or stolen. You keep it in a safe place. But you at times also let it be displayed, for all to see the glory and the beauty that it is. Be it as a piece of art in a gallery, or an ancient artifact that has been found, making it very rare and precious, you even display it for many to see. That is how the Lord views each of us.

Along with being His treasure, we have the honor of manifesting the life of Yeshua (Jesus) in our lives too, so that those we walk among may see Him shining through us. Though “We have all kinds of troubles, but we are not crushed; we are perplexed, yet not in despair; persecuted, yet not abandoned; knocked down, yet not destroyed” as Paul states in 2 Corinthians. We have Him, this treasure in us, to be evidence of His power working through us. That will not only give hope to us in our daily walk, but to those we come in contact with - our families, those we work with on our jobs and the ones we gather with on occasions.

I am happy to be God’s treasure. Knowing of the value He has placed on us and in us, showing forth His love for me and you, strengthens our hearts and emotions, in order to let others know of their value they also have because of Him, their Creator. They too can receive His salvation through Jesus, and be a chosen vessel for His good pleasure.

May you know deep in your heart that you are His treasure, highly esteemed and valued, loved and admired, known by Him, and thus enabled and empowered to let others know of Him.

Now think on this,

The Elephant in the Room by John Paul Jackson

The Elephant in the Room

by John Paul Jackson

Identity Network

The Lord wants to increase your hope. No matter what you're going through right now, whether you view your life overall as a positive or negative experience, whether things are going well or things are going poorly, if you are in good health or poor health, if you are living in surplus or in need, if you are content or sick at heart - the Lord wants to increase your hope.

Hope is rekindled in our hearts when a word from God is spoken at the right time, in the right way and in the right season. The Psalms put it this way:

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. Psalm 130:5

I firmly believe that once we're transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His most marvelous light, when we ask for a fish, we don't get a stone (1 Peter 2:9; Luke 11:11-13). He is a good Father, who gives good gifts to His kids. So we can say very simply to Him, "God, I want to learn to hear from You," and He will teach us how to hear Him. He will change our lives with the sound of His voice.

Hope: A Mind Set on God

In some ways, hope is the easiest thing in the world to find. It can be like a large elephant standing in a small room - it is right there, all the time, fully visible because of who God is and His unchanging, ever-faithful, never-failing affection for His people. God is God; therefore, there is always hope.

But in other ways, hope can be difficult to find, because when we're anxious, upset or fearful, it isn't easy to hear God's voice. Peace is the great potting soil of revelation - of communing with God and hearing His truth. A mind set on God will recognize God, will hear God and then can respond to Him. All of us are in a process of tuning, honing and developing our ability to hear Him, and in this quest, all of us are going to succeed, because He wants us to hear His voice. He doesn't speak to us because He has to; He speaks to us because He wants to. We just celebrated Easter - we know the price He paid to be with His children.

God knows right where you are in this on-going process of building a deep, abiding relationship with Him. He knows that you are still learning. He sees what you're going through, and He treats you as His prize, not as His burden.

God Has the Time

All too often, we allow the enemy to convince us that God doesn't have the time or the inclination to put up with us and our shortcomings. We can start to think that hope is too elusive and hearing God is too hard, because He's disappointed with us. We don't give ourselves grace for where we are. We think He doesn't take into consideration how each of us is still learning, and so we bypass verses like Psalm 103:13-14, not realizing how they apply to us:

As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.  For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

Does that sound like a God who doesn't understand? Does that sound like a God who is far away? Does that sound like there is no hope for you and your circumstances?

This month, remember that hope is not a small, frail, feather-light thing that would be easy for you to destroy. It is the elephant in the room - it is massive. It is weighty. Hearing God's voice can change your world and fill even the bleakest of situations with hope.

Led by the Spirit by Elaine Tavolacci

Led by the Spirit

by Elaine Tavolacci

Identity Network

We often hear Christians say that they feel "led" to do something or other, meaning that they think or feel that the Holy Spirit is leading them in a particular direction. Many are not sure if they are actually hearing from God or if it is their own thoughts or their own will. The Lord is showing me that He wants every believer to be led by the Spirit, and He wants to make His voice known.

He is releasing revelation to those who are positioned to receive it. The Lord says, "As you seek truth, and as you seek to know Me more, the eyes of your heart will be enlightened. Those who are willing to go beyond the milk of My word will notice that their thoughts will begin to align with My word. They are those who are hungry for the meat and willing to leave foolish and childish things behind.

I will give them understanding of spiritual things and My truth will become alive in their innermost being. They are those who are willing to separate themselves unto Me. They are those who not only spend time with Me, but they live a fasted lifestyle and they walk in holiness. They refuse irrational arguments and they will readily forgive others who have wronged them.

They are not content with the milk, therefore they press on to the higher calling. They depend on My leading as they go about their daily chores and they know that they have been called and set apart for My plans and My purposes.

Renewal of Your Mind

As you allow My word to become part of you, your mind will be renewed. You will no longer desire to submit to the things of the carnal nature. The temptations of this world will grow dim as you hunger for spiritual realities.  The more that you spend time in My word and in My presence, you will find that hearing My voice will come with ease.

Pray in the spirit often to build yourself up in your most holy faith and as you do, you will become more attuned to My ways.  Soon you will find that as you continue to persevere, you will begin to be led by My Spirit. I will release discernment to see into the dark places. You will begin to discern the motives and intentions of the heart. You will understand My word with more clarity and insight.

I am filling the hearts of those who desire to know Me more. Those who are rooted and grounded will surely ascend to new heights. I will reveal My secrets to those who are seeking revelation, and the hidden mysteries. I will make My voice known to those who have treasured My words more than their daily bread. It is not mystical or mysterious to them because they have a personal relationship with Me.

They are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. They are those who have learned to tune in to My frequencies. Signs and wonders will accompany those who walk in My truth. Those who follow My word will walk in peace. Fear, confusion and anxiety will be far from them. So enlarge your vision and extend your boundaries and as you yield yourself to Me, My plans will be established in your life says the Lord.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

1 Corinthians 2:6-8 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

God is Releasing New Levels of Anointing For 2014 - Robin McMillan (The Elijah List)

Robin McMillan:
God is Releasing New Levels
of Anointing For 2014
(The Elijah List)

A Dream of Joseph's Coat

In a recent dream I found myself in an expensive clothing store filled with the most marvelous garments – rack after rack of amazing colorful coats filled the fine establishment. I thought, "Who wouldn't want one of these fine garments?"

As I gazed over the racks of coats, one in particular caught my attention. I carefully pulled it from the racks and tried it on. The coat had a 'Carolina' sky blue front, a colorful wide striped back with a delicate expensive amber colored leather collar.

I looked at myself in a full-length mirror admiring the fit. It had unusual ¾ length sleeves and was made to fit as a waist length jacket. It fit perfectly. It was as if it were tailor made for me.

I stepped outside to see how it looked in natural light. I was delighted with such a colorful and fine fitting coat. I turned to go back into the store to pay for it, only to discover that the store was nowhere to be found. It had disappeared – but the coat remained. I could not pay for it.

Interpretation

God is ready to clothe many with a 'tailor made' new anointing in 2014 typified by the coat of many colors that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

This new anointing will release a new level of prophetic revelation represented by the heavenly sky blue color that covered the front of the garment.

In the dream I could not pay for the coat. It had already been paid for. We could never pay enough to obtain something that only God can provide. It is not something we can earn.

It must be given and we must deeply appreciate that truth to wear it and use it with humility and wisdom.

The fact that the back was striped speaks of a new level of healing anointing.

Isaiah 53:5 records: "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

The expensive leather collar speaks of how everything of value must be paid for with shed blood just as the Lord shed the blood of animals to cover Adam and Eve with leather garments after their fall. Collars can speak of identity. This collar was amber speaking of the color of the glory of God. This coat will be attended by the glory of God.

We find other significance of this anointing from the life of Joseph and his colorful garment:

"Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors." Genesis 37:3

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Bible scholars have differing understandings of this coat's appearance. Aryeh Kaplan in the Living Torah explains it this way: "It was a royal garment. The word passim can be translated as colorful, embroidered, striped, or with pictures.

It can also denote a long garment, coming down to the palms of the hands and the feet. Hence, it may be translated as a 'full sleeved robe', 'a coat of many colors', 'a coat reaching to his feet', 'an ornamented tunic', 'a silk robe', or 'a fine woolen cloak'."

The coat represents the favor Joseph had from his father and spoke of the primary leadership of his family he would one day obtain. His coat was one of great promise, giftedness and authority.

Ministry Gifts and Anointing

The coat was a gift. We could never pay for something so precious. But as many of us have discovered, some gifts become very expensive. This next new anointing will be that way too.

In Joseph's case the coat focused Joseph's brothers' jealousy and hatred. We will discover that this new coat may generate just such responses from those who don't understand why God anoints those He does. Ultimately his brothers stripped Joseph of his coat, sold him into slavery, dipped the coat in blood, and lied to their father about him having been killed by wild animals.

It was necessary for Joseph to lose the outward sign of the anointing and be severely tested in order to function at the highest level the robe initially promised. The jealousy and hatred of his brothers were part of the price Joseph paid to live out the gift he was given. The garment being soaked in blood reveals that every anointing must be sanctified for it to be ultimately successful.

When Moses anointed Aaron and his sons for service he stripped them, washed them, clothed them, then anointed them. Afterward he sanctified them with blood: "Also he took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. Then he brought Aaron's sons. And Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet" (Leviticus 8:23-24).

How many men and women have been destroyed because they did not submit to the entire process meant to insure the success of the ministry gifts and anointing God gave them? Many. We must be men and women who have submitted to the processes of the Lord if we are to "wear" his anointing successfully. We must never submit to jealousy and selfish ambition if we are to function effectively.

Such selfish ambition releases much evil: "But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there." James 3:14-16

God is releasing new levels of anointing, colorful mantles He freely gives, but with each one comes a price.

Joseph graduated from God's school of the anointing and ruled in Egypt with dignity, mercy, and kindness. His understanding of the redemptive ways of God and his lack of self-centeredness enabled him to revive his father's household and preserve the lineage of the Messiah.

That is the purpose of the anointing. It is not primarily to make your ministry a success, although it can.

Joseph used his anointing to empower and enrich many who had lost their inheritances. It is to restore households, free prisoners, reclaim legacies, and declare the glory of God through the lives of redeemed people.

"That we might be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified." Isaiah 61:3

Prepare your hearts. A new precious and dangerous anointing is being released even now. Use yours with wisdom, humility, and dignity.
