Israel: We'll Bomb Assad's Palace if Iran Expands in Syria
08-28-2017
CBN News John Waage
JERUSALEM, Israel – A senior Israeli official has issued a warning to Russia that the Israeli military will bomb Syrian President Bashar Assad's palace in Damascus if Russia allows Iran to make military advances in Syria.
The official added another caution in the Al-Hayat al-Jadida newspaper that if regional changes don't take place in the current advance by Iran, Israel will act to scuttle the Syrian ceasefire deal recently concluded by the U.S. and Russian governments in Kazakhstan.
The warnings came during a meeting last week on the Black Sea between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Reuters, Netanyahu told Putin, "Iran is already well on its way to controlling Iraq, Yemen and to a large extent is already in practice in control of Lebanon."
He said Israel will act unilaterally if need be to halt Iran's influence in Syria and added, "We cannot forget for a single minute that Iran threatens every day to annihilate Israel."

Israel Hatred from Virginia to Spain - CBN News Tzippe Barrow

Israel Hatred from Virginia to Spain

CBN News Tzippe Barrow

Aug. 18, 2017
JERUSALEM, Israel – Islamic terrorists in Spain, claiming affiliation with ISIS, shouted anti-Israel slurs not unlike those heard earlier this week in Charlottesville, Virginia. Thursday's car-ramming attack at a popular outdoor shopping mall in Barcelona killed 13 and injured more than 100 others.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on "the civilized world" to unite in its fight against terrorism.
"Israel strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Barcelona. On behalf of the citizens of Israel, I send condolences to the families of those who were killed and wishes for a quick recovery to the injured. This evening we again saw that terror strikes everywhere; the civilized world must fight it together in order to defeat it."
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin expressed the same sentiments in a letter Spanish King Filipe VI.
"Terrorism is terrorism is terrorism, whether it takes place in Barcelona, Paris, Istanbul or Jerusalem. These horrific events once again prove that we must all stand united in the fight against those who seek to use violence to stifle individual liberty and freedom of thought and belief, and continue to destroy the lives of so many," he wrote. "The people of Israel share with me in mourning the sad loss of life and suffering."
Later the same day, Spanish officials linked two more terror attacks to the carnage in Barcelona – a car ramming in the seaside resort of Cambrils and a bombing in the town of Alcanar, which killed one person.
AP quoted a regional official saying there's a "connection" to the Barcelona attack that "follows the same trail." Security forces have one suspect in custody.
Police shot and killed five other suspects, at least one armed with a knife, after they rammed their vehicle into a police car and passersby. The five were reportedly carrying bomb belts, which were later detonated in controlled explosions.
Meanwhile, a few days before the driver rammed his vehicle into pedestrians at the outdoor mall in Barcelona, he told his followers on Facebook that Israelis murder Arab children and warned of a "global Jewish conspiracy," Arutz Sheva reported.
Wednesday's attack took place near two kosher restaurants – one named Maccabi Restaurant and the other Maoz Falafel (definitely Israel inspired) in the mall.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the report, the driver – a Moroccan-born 28-year-old with European Union residency who has yet to be apprehended – has been pretty open about his anti-Israel agenda on Facebook. Nonetheless, Barcelona Chief Rabbi Meir Bar Chen said the attack did not target Jews.
While Barcelona police closed Jewish institutions as a precautionary measure, Arutz Sheva quoted Chen saying the attack was against every person created in God's image and wishing the injured "a full and speedy recovery."
"The Jewish community relies on the Spanish security services to do everything to secure the institutions of the community," he said, according to the report.
A few years ago, Netanyahu said today's anti-Israel propaganda is nothing more than anti-Semitism repackaged.

President Trump's Middle-East Peace Push Has Begun - JNS.org CHARISMA NEWS

President Trump's Middle-East Peace Push Has Begun

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Wednesday in Jerusalem.
"This is an opportunity to pursue our common goals of security, prosperity and peace, and Jared, I welcome you here in that spirit. I know of your efforts and the president's efforts, and I look forward to working with you to reach these common goals," Netanyahu said.
Kushner is visiting Israel along with U.S. Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt, who met with Netanyahu Tuesday. Greenblatt also met with Isaac Molho, Netanyahu's envoy for negotiations with the Palestinians, and traveled to Ramallah to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman downplayed the U.S. officials' visits.
"There's nothing [going on] behind the scenes," he told Israel Radio. "Things are simple and transparent. Trump's representatives are still in the learning stages ...They want to understand what the parties are proposing, what the basic interests are, what the basic position is for both Israel and the Palestinians. We are open to dialogue with the Americans. The Palestinian issue is not a new issue on the Israeli government's agenda."

White House Silent on Israeli Settlement Vote - JNS.ORG CHARISMA NEWS

A bill the Knesset overwhelmingly passed that retroactively authorizes settlements in Judea and Samaria in the West Bank has resulted in outrage around the world, except from Washington, D.C. (Reuters photo)

White House Silent on Israeli Settlement Vote

JNS.ORG  CHARISMA NEWS
The U.S. has remained mum on the historic, yet controversial passage of an Israeli bill that retroactively legalizes settlement outposts in Judea and Samaria.
Rather than issuing a new statement, the White House immediately responded to the Regulation Law by referring to its statement from last week, which said "we don't believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace" but that construction of new settlements "may not be helpful" in the Israel-Palestinian peace process.
Late Monday night, the Knesset passed the bill 60-52, retroactively legalizing some 4,000 homes that sit on private Palestinian land, while also providing compensation to the landowners. The State Department said that "at this point, indications are that this legislation is likely to be reviewed by the relevant Israeli courts, and the Trump administration will withhold comment on the legislation until the relevant court ruling," AFP reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump Feb. 15, where the two will likely address the issue of settlements among other topics.
Meanwhile, the international community and Arab leaders slammed the legislation on outposts, with the Palestinians calling it an attempt to "legalize theft" of Palestinian land.
"This is an escalation that would only lead to more instability and chaos. It is unacceptable. It is denounced and the international community should act immediately," said Nabil Abu Rdeneh, a spokesman for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Arab League said the law "is only cover for stealing the land."
Just a day after Netanyahu met with U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, British Minister for the Middle East Tobias Ellwood said the bill "damages Israel's standing with international partners."
"It is of great concern that the bill paves the way for significant growth in settlements deep in the West Bank, threatening the viability of the two-state solution," Ellwood said.
Similarly, French Foreign Minister Jean Marc Ayrault said the law "constitutes a blow to the two-state solution."

Donald Trump Was Born Exactly 700 Days Before Israel Became a Nation - MICHAEL SNYDER CHARISMA NEWS

Donald Trump Was Born Exactly 700 Days Before Israel Became a Nation
Jan. 4, 2017 MICHAEL SNYDER  CHARISMA NEWS
Do you want to see something amazing?
If you go to any of the major search engines and ask when Donald Trump was born, you will be told that it happened on June 14, 1946. And then if you go to any of the major search engines and ask when Israel became a nation, you will be told that it happened on May 14, 1948. If you take both of those dates and plug them into the handy calculator provided by timeanddate.com, you will discover that Donald Trump was born exactly 700 days before Israel became a nation.
I was first alerted to this incredible fact by Daily Crow. Here are some other incredible numbers that link Trump and Israel from that same source.
  • Israel was 77 days old exactly 777 days after Donald Trump was born.
  • Israel's 70th birthday will come exactly 700 days after Trump's 70th birthday.
  • Donald Trump won the election on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's seventh year, seventh month and seventh day in office.
On top of everything else, Donald Trump will be 70 years, seven months and seven days old on his first full day in the White House.
As I noted above, Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946. Moving forward exactly 70 years from that date brings you to June 14, 2016. Moving forward exactly seven months from that date brings you to Jan. 14, 2017, and if you add another seven days that brings you to Jan. 21, 2017.
Donald Trump will be inaugurated on Jan. 20 and will be president for part of that day, but his first full day in office will be on Jan. 21.
And as incredible as this may sound, this will happen during year 5777 on the Hebrew calendar.
In addition, it turns out that there are some very strange "coincidences" surrounding Mike Pence as well. Here is more great stuff from Daily Crow:
He is 57 years old and will take office in the Hebrew year 5777. The last minute of Mike Pence's 57th year will take place one minute before the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem (Pence was 50th governor of Indiana), 6/7 of 2017.
Pence was born in Columbus. Trump Tower is located .7 miles down 57th street from Columbus Circle, Trump's Vice President, Pence the 57 year old from Columbus.
Could it be possible that Donald Trump and Mike Pence both have special destinies ahead of them?
They are going to take office at a critical time for America. Barack Obama appears determined to cause as much chaos as possible on his way out the door, and we just witnessed the greatest betrayal of Israel in all of American history.
And in addition to U.N. Security Council Resolution 2334, we are also finding out that the U.N. has appropriated money for a database of Israeli companies that do business in the West Bank. According to former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, the only purpose of such a database would be to punish those companies.
Lost amid the angry words that followed the Dec. 23 UN Security Council vote that critics called an American betrayal of Israel was a Christmas Eve appropriation of $138,700 to fund a database of companies doing business in the West Bank. The measure puts UN prestige behind the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, say critics.
"The types of data they are talking about acquiring would be to form the basis for future sanctions against companies that did business on the West Bank," Fox News contributor and former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton told FoxNews.com. "That's the only purpose of it that I can see."
Fortunately, some members of Congress are already working hard to try to repair the damage that Barack Obama has been doing. For example, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz wants to withhold funding from the U.S. State Department until the U.S. embassy is moved to Jerusalem.
Sen. Ted Cruz and two fellow Republicans are pressing the State Department to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Congress passed legislation in 1995 that called for moving the embassy to Jerusalem, but Democratic and Republican administrations alike have declined to enact the change, citing security concerns. The latest measure, introduced Tuesday as the new Congress convened, would withhold funding from the State Department until it makes the move.
Moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem is one of the 10 steps I detailed yesterday that I believe Donald Trump should take as soon as possible after becoming president.
Donald Trump has the opportunity to be the most pro-Israel president that we have ever had. But that is going to take more than just good intentions.
We live in a time when global events are accelerating. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are going to have to deal with some great challenges that they cannot even imagine at this moment, and it will be critical for them to be strong and resolute in the face of a rapidly changing global environment.

Israel Begins Arresting Arson Suspects
11-25-2016
CBN News Tzippe Barrow
JERUSALEM, Israel – While tens of thousands of Israeli families spent Thursday night in shelters to escape massive fires threatening their neighborhoods, tweets praising the arson spread like wildfire on Arabic-language social media platforms.
"#Israel is burning" was retweeted hundreds of thousands of times, becoming the third highest Arabic-language tweet in Israel and several neighboring countries.
Shurat haDin, monitoring Arabic-language social media, reported that "#Tel_Aviv_IsBurning" was trending Friday morning, possibly to incite would-be arsonists that Tel Aviv is next.
An estimated 80,000 Israelis were evacuated from Haifa Thursday and some 600 homes destroyed by fire. Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld reported Friday morning that residents of six Haifa neighborhoods were able to return to their homes.
And though several hundred Israelis were treated for smoke inhalation over the past several days, not one life has been lost despite the enormous devastation.
At a press conference Thursday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised the arsonists will be held accountable.
"Anyone attempting to burn parts of the State of Israel will be punished," he said, calling arson and incitement to arson "terrorism in all respects."
By Friday morning, 12 suspects were in custody and police were looking for others.
Overnight Thursday, firefighting crews battled new blazes, including one in the town of Beit Meir about halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, evacuating 300 people.
Meanwhile in France, Muslim immigrants torched 26 cars in an upscale neighborhood in Paris, presumably expressing their dissatisfaction with people who own nice vehicles. It's not the first time. Last year, 150 vehicles were burned up in one night.
All this destruction took place as American families gathered around festive holiday tables to celebrate Thanksgiving, following a tradition that began with the Pilgrims thanking God for His many blessings.
A number of Israelis and Americans are praying for abundant winter rains to quench the fires and spur new growth on the scorched land.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog: Have you heard that Israeli leaders are urging Jews to read through the entire Bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter?

netanyahu-biblestudyoct2016

New post on Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

Have you heard that Israeli leaders are urging Jews to read through the entire Bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter? Amazing, but true. Here’s the latest.

by joelcrosenberg
rivlin-launching929initiative(Central Israel) -- You probably haven't heard this in the mainstream media, but Israel's most senior leaders are urging the Jewish people to read through the Bible, the whole Bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter.
Can you imagine President Obama or any other U.S. leader calling on American people to read through the Bible? Neither can I.
Given the general trend here in Israel towards secularization, this is quite a surprising yet thoroughly encouraging development. I'm sure many of you are skeptical, but it really is true. Here's the latest.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kicked off the new school year here by encouraging children to rediscover the Word of God and Biblical roots of their Jewish heritage.
"First of all, the study of the Bible,” he said in August. "Knowledge is a critical word. We want to give it [knowledge of the Scriptures] to every child in Israel, Jews and non-Jews as one, religious and secular. This is the basis of the new world, and the basis of Israel as a strong nation in the world.”
Last week, the prime minister and his wife, Sara, hosted another in a series of occasional Bible study groups at their official residence. They discussed -- among other things -- the Biblical connection Jews have to the Temple Mount, despite a recentU.N. vote denying Jews have any such connection.
The Netanyahus organized their first home Bible study group in December 2011, as Ireported at the time. In so doing, they carried on a tradition first begun by David Ben Gurion and later by Menachem Begin but rarely repeated by other Israeli premiers. Their stated goal was to set an example for the nation and to "perpetuate a love of the Bible." [See here and here for coverage of other Bible studies they have held.]
Meanwhile, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and several government official have launched something they call the "929 Initiative."
This is a wonderful and worthy effort to encourage all Israelis -- even the most secular and non-religious among us -- to read one chapter of the Jewish Scriptures a day, every day, until they have read all 929 chapters.
Rivlin and his colleagues kicked off the $12 million initiative in December 2014. Since then, they have been encouraging Israelis to continue reading verse by verse, chapter by chapter through the full Hebrew Bible or "Tanakh" until everyone finishes together in the summer of 2018 for the 70th anniversary of the prophetic rebirth of the Jewish State.
There is a pretty impressive and sophisticated website dedicated to the project, with Israelis of all kinds, from a wide variety of backgrounds, writing articles on what they think about the Bible verses they are reading. There is also an app that helps Israelis remember what chapter they're supposed to read each day and help them mark their progress.
Here are several article about the initiative. I commend them to your attention.
I especially wanted to bring this all to your attention as we celebrate Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles (aka, "Feast of Booths"). Why? Because in the Torah, Moses commanded the people to read through all the Scriptures in their entirety every seven years. Sadly, this is a commandment many if not most of my fellow Jews have forgotten, or never were aware of in the first place.
10 Then Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, at the time of the year of remission of debts, at the Feast of Booths, 11 when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place which He will choose, you shall read this law in front of all Israel in their hearing. 12 Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and [a]the alien who is in your [b]town, so that they may hear and learn and fear the Lord your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law.(Deuteronomy 31:10-12)
Some of my favorite stories in the Bible are when King Josiah called the nation of Judah together to hear the Word of the Lord read to them in its entirety, and when Ezra and the priests read the entire Bible to the nation of Israel after their return to the Land from Babylonian and Persian captivity.
Several years ago, we organized an Epicenter conference with the theme, "The Power of The Word." Several of the speakers taught on this largely forgotten history of Jewish leaders calling the nation back to the Scriptures -- if you're interested in watching the videos of those and other messages, please click here.
I'm grateful to Netanyahu and Rivlin and to the other Israeli leaders who are calling our people back to reading the Bible cover to cover. Will you join me in praying that more Jews (and Gentiles) heed their call? Thanks so much, and Chag Same'ach -- happy holidays from Israel!
