ICEJ Urges More Nations to Move Embassies to Jerusalem - ICEJ

Dr. Jurgen Buhler, president of ICEJ (YouTube)
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem warmly welcomed the announcement on Friday (02/23) that the new United States Embassy to Israel will be officially opened in Jerusalem on May 14, in time for Israel's 70th anniversary celebrations.
"We are very grateful once again that the Trump administration is continuing to carry through with its commitment to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem, where it has always belonged," said ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler. "We join the Israeli people and government in saluting this well-timed gesture. The Christian Embassy also is hopeful other nations will quickly follow suit, and we are working to ensure that outcome through our various national branches and activists worldwide."
The ICEJ is currently approaching the leaders of numerous other nations around the world to urge them to join the United States by relocating their embassies to Jerusalem. These efforts are being coordinated by the Jerusalem head office and include letter campaigns and direct lobbying of government leaders by their local Christian communities. The initiative is using as a guide the way various nations voted on the recent United Nations General Assembly resolution (December 21, 2017) which demanded that the U.S. withdraw its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
One of the key points of this lobbying campaign is that several nations who voted for the UNGA resolution in December were instantly in violation of its terms, which explicitly called upon all nations "to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem." The nations of Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the United Kingdom all supported the resolution and yet they were immediately in breach of its provisions, as each has embassies or consulates in Jerusalem which openly serve as their chief diplomatic missions to the Palestinian Authority.
"The international community has always called for an even-handed approach to Jerusalem, so as not to prejudge this sensitive final-status issue. Yet here are eight nations that have never been called out for violating this principle by placing their chief missions to the Palestinians in Jerusalem. It turns out the demand for neutrality has just been a hollow pretext for denying the Jewish people and state their rightful place in Jerusalem. So no nation can now complain when a country decides to open an embassy to Israel in Jerusalem." stated Dr. Bühler.
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was founded in 1980 as a permanent representation of global Christian solidarity with Israel and particularly with its capital of Jerusalem, in recognition of the ancient Jewish attachment to this city. Today, the ICEJ has branch offices in over 90 nations and supporters in more than 170 countries worldwide.
This on-line folder contains photos of the eight nations with diplomatic missions to the Palestinian Authority in Jerusalem, as well as the ICEJ letter to the heads of government in these nations.

Christian Group Helps Ethiopian Jews Make Aliyah to Israel
CBN News 12-29-2017
Eighty-two Ethiopian Jewish immigrants landed at the Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv last week, bringing to 1,200 the total number of Jews from the East African nation relocated to Israel by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.
The Christian group is helping the Israeli government relocate 1,300 members per year of this ancient Jewish community until all of the remaining 9.000 Falash Mura tribe are reunited with their families in Israel.
A decision concerning the second year of these flights is still tied up in the Israeli cabinet. However, once approved, the ICEJ has promised to raise the necessary funding needed in order to continue to make this dream a reality.
In 2017, the ICEJ has donated $1.2 million toward the immigration project, including funds to help the immigrants transition to a new language and culture. Donations for the project have come from around the world, including generous donations from African Christians.
"The great ingathering of the Jewish people to Eretz Israel is still continuing and it is a real privilege and joy for our organization to play such a central role in this historic return to Zion," said Dr. Jürgen Bühler, President of the ICEJ said in a statement.
"We know that these latest arrivals from the Ethiopia community will never be the same as they rejoin their families and become fully part of the modern miracle of Israel," he continued. "Some of these families have been separated now for over two decades, and so it a special honor for us to help bring them back together here in the Jewish homeland."
In total, the ministry assisted more than 3,000 Jews to relocate in 2017, including from Ethiopia (1,200), Russia (1,100), Belarus (800), Ukraine (70), and India (50). Since its founding in 1980, the ICEJ has helped nearly 140,000 Jews return to their biblical homeland or roughly ten percent of all Jews who have relocated in that time period.
This represents an investment of over $50 million in the relocation efforts, with most of the assisted Jews coming from the former Soviet republics but also thousands from Western Europe, North and South America, the Bnei Menashe from India, and the Kaifeng Jews from China.
Founded in 1980, the ICEJ is considered the largest global pro-Israel Christian ministry, with branch offices established in over 95 nations and a reach into more than 170 countries worldwide.

Is Trump’s Jerusalem Declaration Fulfilling of Prophecy? - CBN News Chris Mitchell

Is Trump’s Jerusalem Declaration Fulfilling of Prophecy?
12-19-2017
CBN News Chris Mitchell
President Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel continues to reverberate throughout the Middle East and the world.  But some see the decision as one more step towards Jerusalem fulfilling a prophecy.
The United Nations Security Council met on Monday to reverse President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.  It’s the latest development in a long history involving the holy city.
In 1980, Israel passed the Jerusalem Law, designating the city as the united, eternal capital of the Jewish State.  In protest, most nations moved their embassies from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv.
But later that year a group of Christians founded the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and firmly planted themselves there.
“They said we need to act and we need to establish an International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in order to show the whole world that no matter what our governments are doing, there are Christians around the world that do believe in God’s covenants and faithful promises to the Jewish people and that was our founding hour,” said ICEJ Executive Director Juergen Buehler.
In 1995, ICEJ Vice President David Parsons helped write legislation known as the Jerusalem Embassy Act, destined for the US Congress.
“We said three things:  recognize Jerusalem as the capital; move the Ambassador there immediately and then worry about building a building,” Parsons told CBN News.  “But as the bill went through Congress, it got changed to build the building first and now 22 years later and all these delays and waivers it is back to our order."
Both men see Jerusalem as being on a fifty year cycle known in the bible as jubilee -- where every fiftieth year marks a year of liberty and restitution.
One hundred fifty years ago, British archeologist Charles Warren discovered the original City of David.  Fifty years later, in 1917, general Edmund Allenby captured the city of Jerusalem ending 400 years of Muslim Ottoman rule. In 1967, Israel re-captured the Old City and Temple Mount for the first time in more than 2000 years.  Then came 2017.
“We believed God would do something significant this year in Jerusalem and lo and behold at the end of the year your government Donald Trump, the American government decided to recognize Jerusalem as the capital and also move the embassy here,” Buehler.

“Something new and exciting is happening for Jerusalem itself that propels it, releases it further into its prophetic destiny,” Parsons said.
“Redemptive history is unfolding here in Israel.  I do believe this has to do not only with you know embassies being relocated here but you see another level of God’s restoration processes, reaching another level,” Buehler said..
“The greatest outstanding promise that the Bible gives us regarding this nation here is the spiritual restoration of Israel,” he said.
Buehler said all the prophets prophesied the return of the Jewish people to the Land and God also said through them He would give the Jewish people a new heart.
Now, there’s the hope more nations will follow America’s lead and move their embassies.
“What the US and President Trump was doing was, he was in a way shooting the starting shot for the race and I believe there will be many other nations that will follow the United States,” Buehler said.
“We’re hearing word Guatemala may come back, Tanzania, the Philippines, you can start listing off some of these countries that we hope have the courage to follow the lead of the American administration now to return to Jerusalem,” Parsons.
They feel it’s critical for Christians around the world to pray for Jerusalem.
“That the violence that’s been threatened, that God in a year of favor and in a year of Jubilee that He would take care of that, that maybe some dust up but by His sovereign Hand that it would be completely and quickly over.  We’ve been praying here in Jerusalem that any fire, any anger would be doused,” Parsons said.
“But also I do believe we need to pray for the Arab world.  You see all the unrest that from the Arab world … In a way, you see the sense of delusion and deception you have to say in the Arab streets where they feel that this city has no connection to the Jewish people.  I believe we need to pray that God is doing His work among the Arab peoples,” Buehler said.
“We need to keep praying this would be a unified city,” Parsons said.

All of God’s bounty is beneficial for us and there are many delicious foods that grow in the Land of Israel, yet the Creator of the world singled out seven species of fruit and grain as being particularly blessed. Over the centuries, many have sought to explain the special significance of the ‘Seven Species,’ known as the שבעת המינים in Hebrew (shee-VAT ha-mee-NEEM).
