Prophetic Word for 2016: "Global Warming of His Glory" by Elaine Tavolacci - THE ELIJAH LIST

Prophetic Word for 2016: "Global Warming of His Glory"by Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzThe enemy has worked hard to bring fear to the Church Body at large and I'm sure he will keep trying to do that...BUT we are not to live in fear nor believe his negative report!

This new word for the year will help you to "see" who you really are and Who is with you wherever you go.

Elaine Tavolacci shares:

"They are those who will not allow the enemy to quench this fire or rattle their faith. They are those who will be set ablaze to go forth to fan the flames and stoke the fire of revival in others. They won't allow anything to annihilate their zeal because they are strong in Me and they will go forth and do great exploits. As they stir themselves up in their faith, they will renew the passion that others once had in their hearts," says the Lord.

Yes...we walk by faith and not by sight!

Please forward this word to your friends! Encourage them to subscribe to the Elijah List right here: http://elijahlist.com/subscribe.

Prophetic Word for 2016: "Global Warming of His Glory"by Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY

For several months now we have been hearing a lot of discussions in the media concerning a global warming. Scientific evidence shows that the climate system is warming and some have even called this a greenhouse effect. This climate change will differ from region to region around the globe.

One night as I began to write, the Holy Spirit gave me this word for the New Year about a supernatural global warming of the presence of God that is beginning to heat up upon the earth. In the natural, the effects of global warming include a change in temperature, the rising of sea levels and a change in precipitation. As we come into the New Year, we are coming into a turning of the tide of the spiritual climate.

There are many negative reports and many people are in fear of the enemy who goes about like a roaring lion seeking those whom he may devour, but then there are those who trust the lion of Judah (Jesus) and will experience His power and glory in a magnificent way. In the days ahead the lion of Judah will also present Himself as the Lamb who has been slain for us releasing healing and deliverance.

In the book of Luke 12:54-56, Jesus rebuked the people saying that they understood how to discern the weather patterns in the natural, but they could not spiritually discern the times that they were living in. In this season we have to take heed to what we hear. As we are listening to reports about wars and rumors of wars, we must understand our authority of which we have been given, and His anointing to change the atmosphere. As we stand in one accord, we will put multitudes of the kingdom of darkness to flight.

"Flames of Fire...Release My Glory!"

The Lord says, "I am sending My fire across this nation and around this world, and I am looking for those who will release My glory for such a time as this. They are those who will be willing to lay down their lives and take up their cross. They are those who do not fear what they see in the natural, but are sold out to My Kingdom. Those who have counted the cost and aligned their lives to My agenda will be used mightily in My end-time army.

Then the Lord showed me that many of you who have been hidden in the secret place will begin to discern His voice, and know His ways which are essential in the days ahead. There will be many who will be as the sons of Issachar who understands the times and the seasons that we are living in. Be wise as a serpent, yet gentle as a dove. Ask the Lord for discernment, wisdom and direction in all that you do. Beware of any teaching that does not line up with the Word of God.

As you continue to speak words of faith, contrary to the negative reports, you will begin to take back everything that the enemy has stolen. As you rise up against the powers of darkness, everything that is rightfully yours will be restored. In the book of 2 Kings chapter 6, Elisha's servant was terrified when he saw the vast armies of Syria coming against them.

In the natural they were surrounded by their enemies but Elisha told him not to fear saying: "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Elisha then went before the Lord and prayed, "Open his eyes Lord, so that he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. He spiritually saw the armies of protection around Elisha.

2 Kings 6:16-17, So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

In this global warming, it may appear as if the enemy is gaining ground and many of you have been shaken to the core with sickness, but the Lord says, "This sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God. For those of you who have been through horrendous trials and floods of distress, I will use everything that you have endured to release others and set many free from the grip of the enemy.

As you see this global warming begin to heat up, I will ignite My ministers as flames of fire to release My anointing to this generation. They will be consumed by My glory as they allow My Word to penetrate their hearts as a fire shut up in their bones.

Psalm 104:4, "Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire."

"Do not allow weariness and defeat to overtake you, but resist any spiritual fatigue that tries to put out this fire. Do not be moved by adverse situations but fan the flames and stoke the fire once again. As you allow My fire to consume your life, it will soon become an inferno and you will become ablaze with My glory to advance My Kingdom on this earth," says the Lord.

Jeremiah 20: 9 Then I said, "I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name." But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.

The One Thing That Will Keep You From Your Destiny - J.D. KING CHARISMA MAGAZINE SPIRITLED WOMAN

There's a test that God will give you that means more than how much you read the Bible or pray.

here's a test that God will give you that means more than how much you read the Bible or pray. (Charisma archives)

The One Thing That Will Keep You From Your Destiny

There are innumerable gems in seemingly obscure places in the Bible. We all know the stories of Noah, Moses, and Daniel, but fewer are aware of Jehoash, the conflicted king of Israel. In the following, I would like to explore an episode from this man's life.
I've found that the biblical narratives are always transparent and raw. They expose truth about people in ways that are surprising. As we see what God does in the lives of others, it helps us discover who we are and how to navigate our lives.
In Scripture we observe that Jehoash, like so many others, was squandering his calling. He was compromised and living a life that was at arm's length with God. His bad choices should have side-lined him, but somehow God wasn't actively holding his sins against him.
In spite of everything else, Jehoash was still being positioned for greatness. If nothing else, it seems that God blessed him for the sake of the people he was leading. Sometimes God will do amazing things in us, for the sake of those around us. That is what I believe He was doing for Jehoash in this instance.
In this fascinating story, God shows us that He is willing to use someone in spite of their foolishness and sin. Shockingly, the emphasis wasn't on his understanding or even his performance. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that God wasn't looking for something.
In this narrative, Elisha laid his hands on Jehoash - and as prophetic act - exhorts him to aim high and shoot an arrow through the eastern window. This quick release of the bow represented Jehoash's God-ordained victory over the evil armies of Aram. Yet, with the arrow's assent, the prophetic decree wasn't over.
Many think they know how things operate, but few have the clearest insight. Sometimes the real test is unseen and unanticipated. After the first arrow was released, the prophet Elisha looked at Jehoash and declared, "Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground" (2 Kings 13:18, NLT).
I'm sure Jehoash didn't realize that the test was still underway. So, as the aging prophet instructed him to shoot more arrows into the ground, he didn't put much thought into it. He probably dragged his feet as he made his way to that ancient window. Out of a quiver filled with many arrows, Jehoash casually grasped a few.
The fate of Israel was in play and the king only saw fit to fire off three arrows. In his tepid response he had no idea that he was failing the test.
As soon as Elisha saw Jehoash's response to the word of the Lord, he was aghast. He angrily declared,
"You should have struck the ground five or six times! Then you would have beaten Aram until it was entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times" (2 Kings 13:19).
This wasn't a test of purity. In many ways Jehoash had already failed at that. This wasn't a test of perspective, God knew Jehoash had limited insight. It was actually a test of passion. God wanted to see what was going on in Jehoash's heart.
What He discovered was a man who was extremely passive and disengaged. Although he was placed into a position of greatness, Jehoash displayed no passion for God's purposes.
In many ways God is conducting the same test today. He wants to see if you burn for the Kingdom of God or not. The only way that you fail is if you have no heart.

"It's Time to Put Your Hand To The Plow and Not Look Back!" - Bonnie Jones (The Elijah List)

The Lord is speaking in a clear and intentional voice in this season. Recently I heard Him say, "Now is the time for Christians to gird up their loins and follow after Me. It's time for them to put their hand to the plow and not look back; fear follows those who do. Their past is already behind them."
But Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things left behind] is fit for the Kingdom of God." Luke 9:62 AMP (Photo via Bonnie Jones)
"They cannot take illicit lovers into this next season. I'm looking for abandoned lovers, those who are abandoned unto Me."
You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world's friend is being God's enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God. James 4:4 AMP
I believe the question to the Body of Christ is, "How much of our self are we willing to surrender to God?" He can only occupy as much of our vessel to the extent that we make available to be filled. If we only surrender twenty percent, He can only occupy that amount in our heart. But an abandoned lover willingly surrenders their whole being unto Him so He can fill them to overflowing with the fullness of His Spirit.
The Whirlwind
After hearing His voice I was shown a great and awesome whirlwind coming to the Body of Christ. It's the move of the Holy Spirit we've long anticipated, and it's unlike anything we've experienced in the past. In this great movement, those who are being led by the Holy Spirit will remain hidden in the cleft of the Rock. They will follow the Master wherever He directs them and move in supernatural demonstration of God's unlimited power. (Photo by Kevin Moffatt "In Spirit and in Truth" via elijahshopper.com)
And while My glory is passing by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and protectively cover you with My hand until I have passed by. Exodus 33:22 AMP
I was also shown Christians who regularly attend church and continue reading their Bible. Although they truly love the Lord, they deny the power of His Holy Spirit. Once again they were offered His fellowship when this mighty whirlwind began. Yet, once again, they rejected the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them]. 2 Timothy 3:5 AMP
After the whirlwind subsided, there was an immediate acceleration for those who were hidden in the Rock. They never looked back for those who rejected the Holy Spirit. Instead they kept a steady eye on Jesus and followed after Him. Their whole being was surrendered unto Him and they moved in demonstration of His resurrection power. They knew how to rest in God and allowed Him to manifest His presence through them.

Parables of Elijah and Elisha
In this experience I could easily see two parables with Elijah and Elisha. First, in 1 Kings 19:19-21, we see Elisha plowing the field when Elijah places his mantle upon him. Operating out of an old mindset, Elisha wanted to turn back and kiss his parents good-bye before following the man of God. Elisha already had his hand to the plow and but needed to gird up his loins and follow after Elijah. He had no time to turn around or look back to the way things were. This was a divine appointment that would change the rest of his life, and he had a choice to make. From that time forth, Elisha followed Elijah, never leaving his side.
So Elijah left there and found Elisha son of Shaphat, whose plowing was being done with twelve yoke of oxen, and he drove the twelfth. Elijah crossed over to him and cast his mantle upon him. He left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, "Let me kiss my father and mother, and then I will follow you."
And he [testing Elisha] said, "Go on back. What have I done to you? [Settle it for yourself.]" So Elisha went back from him. Then he took a yoke of oxen, slew them, boiled their flesh with the oxen's yoke [as fuel], and gave to the people, and they ate. Then he arose, followed Elijah, and served him. 1 Kings 19:19-21 AMP (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
Second, because Elisha remained faithful to keep his eyes on Elijah (type of Holy Spirit), he received a double portion of Elijah's anointing when he was taken up in the whirlwind. In the same way, if we desire to be part of this supernatural movement, we cannot not turn back to the ways of the flesh. We MUST follow after the Holy Spirit of God with a whole heart. It may offend some, and others will misunderstand us, but no matter the cost we must remain faithful and obedient to God.
And when they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you." And Elisha said, "I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." He said, "You have asked a hard thing. However, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you – but if not, it shall not be so."
As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into Heaven. And Elisha saw it and he cried, "My father, my father! The chariot of Israel and its horsemen!" And he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. 2 Kings 2:9-12 AMP (Photo via Flickr)
I believe we're about to step into this supernatural movement of monumental acceleration in the Spirit. It will be far greater than anything the Body of Christ has experienced in past movements. Azusa Street was an incredible display of power through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but this was only a glimpse of that which is now on the horizon.
We can't afford to miss our opportunity for acceleration because His time is of the essence. Let's gird up our loins and put our hand to the plow. Let's become those abandoned lovers so God will fill us with the fullness of His presence as we go into the greatest whirlwind and spiritual awakening of all time!

Word for 2015 - The Spirit of Elijah by Elaine Tavolacci

Word for 2015 - The Spirit of Elijah

by Elaine Tavolacci

Identity Network

The Holy Spirit gave me a word for the coming year of 2015 as it relates to the Spirit of Elijah. There is a story in the Old Testament about the prophet Elijah and his successor the prophet Elisha. Elisha's ministry first began as a servant to Elijah in the book of 1 Kings 19:19 as he completed his earthly occupation of plowing twelve yolk of oxen. Elijah approached Elisha and threw his mantle upon him. This is symbolic for those who are clothed with the prophetic mantle which is the spirit of Elijah, as well as an allegory of the father's mantle being passed to the son. Each day Elisha followed Elijah closely and would not leave him for a moment. In the same way, we should have mentors who walk as Jesus walked and could disciple us in love as well as spiritual realities.

Elijah was a prophet with a ministry of miracles, signs and wonders. After a season in which Elisha had served Elijah, the Lord was coming to take Elijah. He obviously knew this because he asked Elisha; what may I do for you before I am taken away? Elisha responded; I want a double portion of your Spirit (anointing). This word for spirit in the original Hebrew context is ruwach which is breath, wind, spirit. It is referring to the living breath of God, a living mantle. Elijah replied, if you see me when I am taken from you it shall be so. Soon after, a chariot of fire with horses of fire appeared, separated them and took Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind. His mantle fell upon Elisha and he received a double portion of Elijah's anointing. Elisha's ministry did not begin until Elijah's ministry ended. We are going to see the ministries of the prophetic sons and daughters succeed the ministries of their spiritual fathers in the coming year.

Prophetic Voices Being Raised

The Lord says; I am raising up prophetic voices to declare My glory to this generation. They will be those who will trumpet My words with clarity and precision as they minister in the Spirit and power of Elijah. They will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. They will prepare the people's hearts for the days ahead. They will be men and women who will walk in the anointing as in days of old. There will be miracles, signs and wonders performed through their hands as My anointing rests upon them and abides within them. They will show others how to be fed supernaturally in the times of famine.

They shall decree a thing and it shall be established because I will confirm the words that I give them to speak. They are men and women of valor who follow in the steps of My prophets who went before them. They are those who have put their hand to the plow and have not looked back. They are those who have never deviated from My plan, but have followed Me through difficult times and persecution. They will bring reconciliation to My body and balance to the five fold ministry bringing every joint and ligament to function in unison. I am raising up men and women who know how to take back their land. They will take a stand against unrighteousness, sin and injustice, and they will be steadfast in their convictions says the Lord.

2 Kings 2:9-14 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." So he said, "You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so." Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, "My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!" So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over

There Will Be Unbelievers

In the book of 2 Kings 2:13 after Elisha received the double portion of Elijah's anointing he went and stood on the bank of the Jordan River and struck the water and asked, Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" The Lord responded by dividing the water and Elisha crossed over. This is the second time a mantle from Elijah was placed upon Elisha. The first mantle was in the book of 1 Kings 19:19 as Elisha began serving Elijah, and the second time was in the book of 2 Kings 2:13 as he began to serve the Lord. The sons of the prophets recognized that the spirit of Elijah rested on Elisha.

Shortly after, in the book of 2 Kings 2:23 Elisha was now walking in a double portion anointing when some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, "Go up, you bald head."  They were not mocking his physical appearance, but they were mocking his anointing. They were insinuating that he "Go up" in the same way that Elijah went up in a horse and Chariot. 1 Chronicles 16:22 and 2 Chronicles 36:16 refers to those who mocked and rose up against the prophets of God in the Old Testament.

Psalm 105:15 Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

The Lord says; there will be unbelievers in the days ahead who will not understand the call on the lives of My prophets. They will be mocked and ridiculed as My servants but they will not retreat. Those who I have called, I will also equip with strength and endurance. I will give them divine wisdom with spiritual strategies. They will understand the times and the seasons, and walk accordingly. I will give them keen discernment concerning their ministry and the sword of My word will be in their mouths. They will bring truth to the body and bring unity in places of division. They will walk in righteousness but not submit to the religious traditions of man because they are led by My Spirit. Supernatural encounters and signs will follow those who believe as I am raising up mighty men and women in the spirit of Elijah says the Lord.

Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

THE UNSEEN - Morris Ruddick

Morris Ruddick

THE UNSEEN (c) Morris Ruddick

Note: This post was birthed as I was praying for the brethren in Benin, West Africa, where we are currently ministering. The ministry of SIGN has, from the beginning, been based on what I refer to as the Issachar context, of understanding the times and knowing what to do.

We have entered times of great change, yet times of even greater opportunity for God's kingdom. The truth described in this post is a critical requirement in fruitfully navigating in these times.

More than in any time in this last generation, there is a connection taking place globally within the Body, a convergence of God's alignments, as a new generation emerges to assume their mantles, as modern-day Josephs and Daniels. Please pray for us and for the Body in Africa, and for those we have been sent to minister to in Benin.

THE UNSEEN

"Do you hear the secret counsel of God, and limit wisdom to yourself?" Job 15:8

Throughout the Word of God, reference is given to a dimension described as "secret." The secret place is used to refer to God's presence. The secret things allude to God's wisdom. Job points to the secret counsel of God.

These dimensions are likewise described as the hidden and the unseen.

Jesus taught that prayer works effectively when we get alone and pray to our Father, who is in the secret place. The NIV version of this passage depicts the Father as the One who is "unseen."

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." Matt 6:6-7 NIV

Paul illuminated this nugget of truth in his letter to the Corinthians with his admonishment to give focus, not to the seen, but to the unseen.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor 4:18 NIV

This dimension being referred to is the spiritual.

Despite being beyond the normal human perception of things, the "unseen" is foundational. It drives the reality we live in rather than the other way around. Our grasp of this dimension provides insight into the priorities we select in our pathway of life.

Applying the Unseen to the Seen

The unseen dimension is the distinguishing characteristic of those we characterize as the heroes of faith: ordinary people doing extraordinary things by means of applying the unseen to the seen, through God.

During his time in Egypt, Joseph bridged the seen with the unseen. In spite of his position as a slave in Potiphar's house, he made a significant difference. The scripture in Genesis 39 indicates that everyone recognized the difference operating through Joseph. They saw that the reality of God accompanied Joseph and made all that he did to prosper. Joseph effectively wielded the mantle of his great-grandfather Abraham: to be blessed to be a blessing. The means toward this end has always been in bridging the seen with the unseen.

I like being around people who bridge the gap between the seen and the unseen. Yet, I have experienced backlash, just as Joseph innocently experienced spiritual repercussions with Potiphar's wife, as something beyond the seen challenges us operating in the unseen.

This process and what is unleashed challenges the focus which resides solely in the seen. It can trigger the forces of darkness, which seek to usurp and bypass the dimension of the unseen controlled by God. It can be deadly.

Within the unseen are the realms of the real and the counterfeit. Reaching for the unseen that is truly God extends beyond the natural and human realms. It involves a process. It is a process of unfolding dynamics which challenge both the counterfeit and the seen. The process begins with individuals, but evolves to be facilitated by the community. When this process is traversed according to God's standard, it releases God's glory. The process defiled or short-circuited triggers the counterfeit.

Operating in this domain, bears uniquely on the choice of being a God-pleaser rather one whose destiny conforms to the ways of man or to the trappings of power that sidestep the Lord.

The Dynamic Operating

2 Kings 6 describes the king of Syria being troubled, when it was recognized that on each occasion that he sent out his army against Israel, that they walked into an ambush. He surmised that there might be a spy in his inner circle. However, his advisors explained it was the prophet Elisha, who was discerning their secret plans and warning the king of Israel. Through God, Elisha penetrated the unseen realm.

This is one of the reasons intercessors need to prevail in unraveling the burdens they carry, to get past the seen, in order to gain a grasp of the unseen, in order to know what to do. Many years ago, I was in prayer. I kept having bad thoughts concerning a certain person. I initially thought I might have had a hidden attitude toward them and began praying in an effort to correct it. Then the Lord spoke to me and told me what I was sensing was that they were speaking against me.

I was skeptical about this premise and asked the Lord for a scripture to confirm that this was so. In the same hour, I began my regular Bible reading and came across the passage in Ecclesiastes 10:20 that admonishes: Curse not the king or the powerful in your bed-chamber, not even in your thoughts, for winged creatures will make the matter known.

The unseen realm is where both the angelic and the demonic operate. Those with backgrounds or encounters with the occult and witchcraft understand this reality. It explains why Jesus taught His followers to seek first God's Kingdom, along with His standard of righteousness. God's Kingdom has its foundations in the domain of the unseen.
"Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word,
heeding the voice of His word. Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure. Bless the LORD, all His works, in all places of His dominion."
Psalm 103:20-22

There's a reason that Paul, operating within his apostolic mantle, refers (1 Cor 13) to the two primary dimensions of tongues, as tongues of men and of angels.

The Entrance and Cost

Entrance into the unseen arena comes only at a cost. That cost requires a choice, an ongoing choice and a discipline to stay the course. Joseph's high calling carried a requirement beyond his already significant prophetic gifting. It necessitated a wisdom and authority beyond anything he had previously known.

It called for the harnessing of the resources of Egypt to avert the impact of the judgment triggered by his brothers. Joseph's brothers self-righteously, but deceitfully and dishonorably, broke covenant and sought revenge against Shechem for defiling their sister Dinah. Dishonor defiles what honor established in covenant.

The issue of honor is essential in navigating God's dimension of the unseen.
"Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. So Jabez called upon the God of Israel."1 Chron 4:9

The story of Job is a story of honor. Job, as God's emissary, begins with Job having only a superficial grasp of the honor needed as God's representative. Zeal is not enough. Personal accomplishment while acknowledging God is not enough.

Like Joseph, Job had to be stripped of his superficial exploits to be able to truly wield the mantle he bore. In that process, his spiritual eyes were opened to the unseen that he had never before grasped. It is a dimension requiring a total dependency on God.

The manner in which Joseph was so abruptly thrust into Egypt gave him every reason to give up. He had every reason in the natural, or the seen realm, to turn his back on God and the unseen, which had caused him to lose everything, including his freedom. Yet, Joseph chose to press into God more fully.

While yet a slave in Potiphar's house, Genesis 39 tells us, that everyone saw that the Lord was with Joseph and made ALL that he did to prosper. Joseph walked out the principle of "bringing every thought captive" to God's standard and will. Despite his circumstance, he put into practice the mantle of his great-grandfather Abraham in being blessed to be a blessing. Without position, he did so honorably and righteously.

These consistent choices of honor and the discipline they require are the mark of true Kingdom leaders.

Harnessing the Imagination

Taking every thought captive involves harnessing the imagination. Jesus gave extremely strong warnings about not allowing your anger or lusts to run rampant in your imagination. James alludes to the dangers of jealousies and selfish ambitions. The imagination holds great potency and is the bridge into the unseen dimension.

This taps the truth that James gave to be doers of the word and not hearers only, who deceive themselves. Living in the seen alone is not enough. It's more than personal exploits. Walking out a call of God requires the gap to be bridged into the unseen and then walked out in the seen.

Going onto the Offensive

Years ago, I served in a Marine combat unit that went deeply into enemy territory. Tactically, we were trained and disciplined to move about largely unseen. These real-life experiences imparted a wisdom that the Lord has revealed to me to apply in intercession, in spiritually navigating through enemy territory while remaining hidden.

When the unseen is fully embraced, the result will be a moving onto the offensive. It doesn't happen immediately, but takes time and faith. Yet, it will override the seen and the counterfeit. Jesus said, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, nothing will be impossible to you (Matt 17:20).

The unseen also requires appropriate authority. By the time Joseph faced the baker and wine-taster when in prison, he possessed the know-how and authority that operated deeply in the hidden realm. Going into enemy territory, discerning and preempting the enemy's intentions, and setting the stage for God's counter-purposes sometimes call for obedience that only "sees" the next step. Yet, this dynamic is strategic to this hour, in preparing the way for those who follow.

Prevailing in the unseen world means discerning, from God, the path to be taken from what is discerned. God always imparts strategy to those willing to pay the cost and prevail in this dimension of reality.
"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them."
Ps 34:7

God's purpose is for the community of his people to be restored to operating in this dimension. This will be the result from what Jesus referred to as being a light to the world, a community set of a hill.

The Community Dimension

Moses wasn't just speaking to an elite inner-circle when he gave the instruction to listen carefully to the voice of the Lord and do what is right in His eyes. He was speaking to the entire community.

When the community begins bridging the seen with the unseen, God's glory is released. When that dynamic prevails, the first evidence will be the spiritual climate changing.

As this dimension of reality gains momentum, then God's converging purposes and priorities will align. The consciousness of God will become evident to even non-believers. What we call revival then begins manifesting.

When revival manifests, the unseen has penetrated the seen. As this spiritual dynamic gains increase, it ignites a high-level flow of unity driven by a broad obedience and flow of the Spirit. This release of God's glory, orchestrated by the Spirit, overcomes evil with good, with the common ground of His glory manifesting and the supernatural becoming natural

When the Life of God within a community truly manifests, it goes beyond a warm feeling or a pristine doctrinal focus. It is Life itself and cannot be stopped.

The Bible is full of stories of prophets, priests, kings, apostles and everyday people who penetrated the unseen and refused to turn loose, and by prevailing they changed the course of history for God's people, setting the stage for eternity.

Abraham staked all on bringing the unseen into the seen. Joseph restored the promises to God's heritage and blessed Egypt in the process. Moses made the connection and infused the truths of his insights into all future generations of God's people. David did all the Lord expected of him and connected the seen and the unseen and in so doing, brought God's people into kingdom unity. Jesus bridged the gap, giving His life as an example to those who would grasp this dimension, establishing the foundation that will restore God's original reality for all eternity.
"The secret things belong to the Lord, but those that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever." Deut 29:29

Bonnie Jones: Warning: Don't Miss The Boat! - The Elijah List

Bonnie Jones:
The Elijah List

Bob and Bonnie JonesIn a vision I saw a small sailboat on the glistening, moonlit water at night; it was just ready to leave shore. Just as everyone was boarding, a woman ran back to take care of her unfinished business. The people cried out to her with a warning: "The boat is leaving now!" She continued on her way while the boat drifted away from shore.

Suddenly she turned around and frantically ran toward the water, but it was too late. She missed the boat. The passengers had no oars and couldn't return to shore to get her. She watched hopelessly from the shore as they drifted away into the moonlight.

Then I heard the Lord say, "Ready or not, here I come! Those who diligently seek the Lord will board this boat guided by the wind of the Holy Spirit!"

Don't miss the boat!Faith is lifting our sails in this day as the Holy Spirit of Truth is leading us. No longer can we follow after agendas, patterns, and formulas; we must be totally reliant on the Holy Spirit to guide us.

I believe this woman represents Christians that truly love the Lord, yet they remain carnally minded. They continue using their natural senses instead of becoming spiritually minded. Therefore they still desire to feed their flesh, and when the Lord calls, their desire will always be to take care of the natural business first instead of doing the will of the Father.

Testing Of The Heart

There's a testing of our hearts taking place right now, and the outcome will be according to our decision. God will not violate our free will and we must live with the consequence of the choice we make. Will we follow after Him or continue on our own path according to our fleshly desires?

When Elijah found Elisha and threw his mantle on him, Elisha's first response was to run back and kiss his parents goodbye, then he would follow Elijah (see 1 Kings 19:20). Elisha was functioning in the carnal realm, or natural senses. And being a good son, his first response would be to honor his parents and tell them he was departing to follow after and be trained by this powerful man of God. Elisha, like the woman that missed the boat, had a choice to make. Elijah put him to the test, just like we are being tested today.

Will you follow after Me or follow after your own fleshly desires?

Will you follow?

1 Kings 19:19-21 AMP

Elijah heard directly from God. But God was not in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire. The Lord was in the still, small voice. Today God is stretching forth His hand the second time to deliver the keys of David into the hand of the righteous who have followed the Father in spirit and truth. They have forsaken all others for the work of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

The Fiery Sword

We've come to the place in history being written that God will rewrite what man has done in his own will. God is sending forth a fiery sword out of the mouth of His true prophets in this day that will cause division. It is His division that conquers the false, because truth will trump the false every time. It may not look like it at first, but watch as God begins a small work and brings increase through the nations of the world. He's coming in power in this day and we must be ready to move quickly.

There is no obstacle in our life that God can't cover or remove.

Warrior's Heart by Jennifer PageThe Book of Jude gives a warning about the false teachers that would creep in unnoticed for the purpose of turning God's grace into lewdness and deny the Lord (see verse 4). They are dreamers that defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of whatever they do not know because they don't know the person of the Word.

They have never established a personal relationship with the Lord, and therefore operate from the flesh. And because they lack personal relationship with God and the desire to know His will, they corrupt themselves. Therefore they fall into apostasy and cause others to stumble (see verses 8-10).

Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. Jude 11

We're given three examples in the above verse, and I believe it is a progression. Man begins with hatred in his heart that leads to greed, and in time, as they mature in the nature of the evil one, it manifests itself in rebellion. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (see 1 Samuel 15:23), and God rejects those who partake of it.
The Way Of Cain: Cain had enmity in his heart. It was a deep-rooted hatred toward his brother that in time caused Cain to murder Abel. Cain's hatred and jealousy toward Abel was greater than his love for God. He had a choice to make. He chose to satisfy his flesh instead of following after God's heart and ruling over his fleshly desire. Cain had never established personal relationship with the Father, where I believe Abel did. That is why God rejected his offering.
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it. Genesis 4:7

Greed leads to rebellionThe Error Of Balaam For Profit: Balaam was a soothsayer who mixed truth with false doctrine. His error was greed, or covetousness, because he was paid well to bring a curse upon the people of Israel. God's anger was kindled against him when he disobeyed Him and later withstood the Angel of the Lord three times. Balaam repented and brought the word of the Lord, refusing to curse Israel (see Numbers 22-23).

The Rebellion Of Korah: Korah rejected true leadership, causing many to perish. He was one of the richest leaders of the Levites and a cousin of Moses and Aaron. He was jealous and felt overlooked for leadership, and therefore gathered 250 leaders of the assembly to rebel against Moses and Aaron. This angered God and He separated the holy from the profane. God did a new thing (see Numbers 16:30-32) and the earth opened up its mouth and swallowed them and their households – and a fire consumed the rest of the 250 men (see Numbers 16).

Crossroads In Time
Crossroads in timeThe Body of Christ has come to a crossroads in time, a juncture on their heavenly journey in the Lord. Each one must decide for themselves which way to go. Some will want to turn back for fear of the unknown, yet others will proceed in faith.

It is there that God meets them head-on, and they will move into a new dimension in Him. Those who choose to proceed in faith must be space aviators and explore the uncharted waters of the Spirit.

The Lord is coming for His Bride without spot or wrinkle. She will be scarred from the many battle wounds she sustained, but she will be worthy as she praises Him. The world has set itself on a course of self-destruction, and day-by-day she lingers in her own filth. But His Bride will be set aside, a glory to be witnessed as she stands out among the rest.

Don't miss the boat. Step out in faith and follow God with a whole heart. Let Him be the Master that steers you through uncharted waters by the winds of His Holy Spirit of Truth and witness the new dimensions in Him.

Just dare to believe!
